Brotogeris cyanoptera We arrived at this location early and took up positions in a nearby hide. Though no birds were visible initially, we knew they were there from the deafening chatter heard high above in the rainforest canopy. Then, without warning, a single bird appeared at the lick. Then another, and before we knew it, 100's of parrots and parakeets were descending from the canopy down to the spring all at once. It was raining colorful birds. A pretty amazing spectacle to witness. Napo River, Ecuador
